Chrissy’s Castle of Critters

Chrissy’s Castle of Critters is a unique experience for both humans and their pets, mainly because we steer away from the “kennel” type of environment where dogs are confined to cages for their entire stay.  It is a fun, “doggie-day care” type of atmosphere where dogs are running around in large areas, playing with toys and playing with other dogs for most of the day.  The results we achieve are happy dogs because they are having a good time, and, in a way, they are also on vacation, just like their human families.  By the end of the day, our guests are tired and happy!

In addition to boarding, we provide other convenient services such as BATHING and GROOMING  (not available at the New York facility), where you can drop your dog off in the morning and he/she will be groomed by the end of the day, but is also playing all day.   Another service we provide is traditional DOGGIE DAY CARE where clients can drop their dog off in the morning for a day of fun and play, then pick their dog up in the evening.  We also provide TRAINING classes for owners who have problems getting their dog to do what they want them to do and who want to learn more about how to handle their pets better.  You can also pick up many pet items such as food, toys, collars, etc. at our on-premises store (not offered at the New York facility).   Click here MERCHANDISE to see what items we offer.

We do not take aggressive dogs in any of our programs and require that we meet all dogs prior to their stay with us to test temperament and to ensure it is a dog that would do well at our pet centers.  This enables us to have more control over the type of dogs we sit for and keeps the quality of dogs at a higher standard.   Every animal staying at our facility must meet the vaccination requirements, and there are no exceptions to these guidelines.  Our goal is to provide a fun, happy, and most important - SAFE environment for all animals we care for.  We are an active member of both Pet Sitters International (PSI) and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).  We are fully insured and bonded.   PLEASE NOTE:  We have closed our Indiana facility and are presently operating exclusively out of our Brewster, New York location.

Located on State Road, this large 16,000 sq. ft.  building is mostly geared toward dogs and features large play/exercise areas both inside and out plus a full grooming salon. Plenty of room to accommodate many types of pets such as cats, birds, gerbils, reptiles, etc. Security cameras help us keep an eye on all guests at all times.
